Congratulations to all of the Annual Award winners 2008!


I would like to thank everyone for their involvement in the annual awards evening and their help in making the evening a great success.

A special thank you to Tanya Blake who gave an inspiring speech to us all, the pupils who attended were thrilled to have the opportunity to have their pictures taken and certificates signed by the local star!

Bridlington Sports Hall Athletics


On February 5th Headlands School hosted the second Bridlington Sports Hall Athletics Festival. Wold Newton, Bay, Burlington Juniors and Martongate participated in this event and all performed extremely well. Well done to Martongate Primary who were the eventual winners. Thank you to the year 10 and 11 students from Headlands School who officiated and helped the children through this event. Also a big thank you to the PLT teachers for selecting and organising your teams so well.

KS1 Festival

100 pupils take part in KS1 indoor multi skill festival.

Pupils from beswick, Middleton, Nafferton and Hutton Cranswick took part in the first KS1 indoor Multi Skills festival. Pupils rotated around a number of activities designed to help fundamental skills such as agility balance and co ordination. Each activity was led by year ten students from Driffield Secondary. it was an excellent event and well done to participants and leaders.

Orienteering Success

Beverley Schools Event

60 children from schools in Beverley competed in the first orienteering event of the year. It took place at Longroft Secondary school on Monday 25th January at 4pm. Many thanks to the teachers and parents who took time out of their busy schedules to brave the winter wind and cold. All the pupils made a fantastic effort and special congratulations go to our winnners who came from St johns and Tickton
